Cherokee History and Culture Institute
 Intensive six day institute for educators covers Cherokee archaeology, history, anthropology, folklore, literature and geography.  Taught by Barbara R. Duncan, Ph.D., with Cherokee presenters, field trips and experiences. $400.

 Sponsored by the Museum of the Cherokee Indian and Robert Conley, Western Carolina University.

6th Annual Southeastern Tribes Cultural Arts Festival
Traditional dancing, arts and crafts, games, food and living history.  Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Seminole and Natchez tribes.
