This weekend, Sept. 19-20, don’t miss the third annual Southeastern Tribes Cultural Arts Celebration. Due to escalating gas prices, discounted admission rates are now available! Adult admission is only $7 and children 6-12 are $5. Kids six and under are admitted free. Visitors will immerse themselves in traditional Native American culture, surrounded by the sites and sounds of master dancers, craftsmen, artists and athletes from the five main southeastern tribes - Cherokee, Creek, Chickasaw, Seminole and Choctaw.

Fall is almost here and that means the 96th Annual Cherokee Indian Fair is right around the corner coming Oct. 7-11. The fair offers outdoor concerts with topnotch national entertainers, a carnival, fireworks, a midway full of rides and games, competitions, traditional Cherokee food, and a variety of basket makers, quilters, gardeners, and other local artisans, demonstrating their talents and displaying the fruits of their labor.

The Qualla Arts & Crafts Mutual Co-op will host the 6th Annual fall Qualla Open Air Indian Art Market on Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness Cherokee artisans practicing ancient craft techniques hundreds of years old, including bead making, basket weaving, woodworking, and pottery. Experience fine art in the making, and then take home these one-of-a-kind treasures.

What do you get when you combine the most scenic drive in North Carolina and more than 800 of the nation’s hottest looking classic cars? The highly anticipated, “Cruise the Smokies” Fall Cherokee Rod Run. More than 3,000 car enthusiasts will turn out for the Southeast’s premiere Rod Run from October 31 – November 2, at the Cherokee Indian Fair Grounds. Gates will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. until noon on Sunday.
