Chief Hicks Opens National Prayer Breakfast

Principal Chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Michell Hicks, opened the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. The annual Breakfast held Feb. 5, 2009, is a forum for political, social and business leaders of the world to assemble together and build relationships. The event co-hosted by N.C. Congressman Heath Shuler, was headlined by President Obama and featured former British Prime Minister Tony Blair as the keynote speaker.
